Free ambulance, blood service for residents of four wards in Dharan

By Nisha Rai, Dharan, Dec 2: Residents of four wards- 3, 9, 13 and 14- in Dharan Sub-metropolis will get ambulance and blood service free of costs.

These four wards have reached agreement with the Red Cross Society, Sunsari, in this respect.

Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, chairperson of Ward no. 14 of Dharan Sub-metropolis, said that the ward has kept human life in paramount importance and offered the service free of cost.

Ward 14 made the agreement with the Red Cross on Tuesday.

The residents will have to show their proof of living in the ward to avail the service.

Ravi Rai, a member of Red Cross, Sunsari, informed that 3, 9 and 13 wards have also made similar agreements with the Red Cross wherein Red Cross will provide two-way ambulance service to residents from home to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and Bijaypur hospital and blood when needed free of cost while each ward will provide a sum of a hundred thousand rupees annually to the Red Cross.
