Kathmandu, Nov.12: Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP) Chandrakuber Khapung
paid a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Sushila Karki today.
During the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, Khapung thanked the Prime Minister for the support received during his tenure. He reached there with his successor Dan Bahadur Karki.
Prime Minister Karki expressed her best wishes for Khapung's
upcoming future.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to promote Karki
to the top post of the security force.
Karki will assume office as the 33rd IGP of Nepal Police
from November 13.
Outgoing IGP Khapung, who took charge on August 29, is
retiring after completing his tenure as the 32nd police chief of Nepal Police
on November 13.
