Former President Dr Yadav remembers iconic leader Singh

Kathmandu, Nov 11: Former President Dr Rambaran Yadav has remembered the founding leader of the Nepali Congress, Ganeshman Singh, as an iconic leader who is unforgettable for his fight for freedom, democracy and national consciousness. 

Addressing a function organized on the occasion of the 111th birth anniversary of leader Singh in the federal capital on Monday, former President Yadav said it was Ganeshman Singh to spearhead the struggle against autocratic Rana system in Nepal. 

"Singh showed Nepali society a path for freedom. His contribution is not limited to particular party, Nepali Congress, but to the entire people and country," he reminded, expressing belief that once late Singh's ideas were adhered, Nepal could secure economic prosperity and democracy. 

The former President further informed that the late Singh never yearned for power and position, but acted by rising above personal interest. (RSS)
