FNCCI to host 'National Economic Debate'

Kathmandu, Nov 7: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is hosting the national economic debate in the federal capital on Saturday. 

Prime Minister Sushil Karki along with Minister for Finance Rameswore Prasad Khanal, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising, Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Anil Kumar Sinha are scheduled to participate at the programme, FNCCI sources said. 

Likewise, the debate programme would be attended by Chief Secretary of the Nepal government, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, secretaries of various ministries, Nepal-based ambassadors of various countries, development partners and mission chief and representatives as well as heads and office-bearer of private sector organizations. 

The umbrella organization of private sector said the 'National Economic Debate' event has been organized in a bid to develop a shared opinion about the overall economic status of the country after the Gen Z Uprising and the future course of action. 

It may be noted that the FNCCI earlier had hosted the first edition of the National Economic Debate in 2080 BS. (RSS)
