Kathmandu, Nov.7: An earthquake of 4.1 Richter scale was felt near the Darchula district and vicinity at 10:40 PM on Thursday.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre (NEMRC), an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the local Richter scale struck at 10:40 pm on Thursday night, with its epicenter near the Indian border near Tawaghat in Darchula district.
No casualties have been recorded from the earthquake.
Various districts in the Sudur Paschim have been experiencing small and large earthquakes in recent years.
The Department of Geology has urged citizens to remain alert and follow the department's notices for official information.
