Parliament's primary duty is to build nation, establish system: RSP Vice President Wagle

Damauli (Tanahu), Nov 6: Vice President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Dr Swarnim Wagle, stated that the primary duty of the parliament is to establish the system and build the nation.     

Speaking at a programme in Damauli today, he said, “I realized that the citizens of Tanahu-1 elected me to parliament with high expectations during the by-election last time. The main role of parliament is to build the nation and enact laws. At that time, I also told that you elected me to help establish the system.”     

He further added that, as a parliamentarian, he remains committed and honest in fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. He acknowledged that although locals have requested support for water supply and other development projects, these demands could not be fully addressed due to budgetary constraints.     

On the occasion, he handed over various materials to the Damauli Drinking Water and Sanitation Consumers Project, which provides drinking water through 3,800 private taps to over 25,000 residents.(RSS)
