By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 6: Ambassador of Republic of Korea (RoK)
to Nepal, Park Tae Yougn Thursday paid a courtesy call on acting President Ram
Sahaya Prasad Yadav at the office of the Vice President, Lainchaur.
During the meeting, discussion revolved around issues of bilateral
relations, tourism, labour and employment, infrastructure development, energy,
investment and people-to-people relations, according to the secretariat of the vice
President.
On the occasion, acting President Yadav said that Nepal was marching
ahead on democratic path with the formation of a new government in the wake of
Gen Z movement of September 8 and 9. He said holding HoR election on March 5, 2026
was the main task of the government.

President Yadav noted the 50th anniversary of Nepal-Korea diplomatic
relations and contribution made by Korea to Nepal's socio-economic development. He
thanked the government of the RoK for providing employment to Nepali youths
through EPS and sated that Nepal had set its relations with the RoK on high
priority.
On the occasion,
Ambassador Park expressed Korea's continued goodwill, support and friendship
with Nepal. He said that Korea supported the government formed as per the
demand of the Gen Z and that Korea was ready to provide assistance for the HoR election.
Mentioning
that Korea has been cooperating with Nepal on education, agriculture and IT
sectors for the last 30 years, Ambassador Park stated that Korea was ready to
increase the number of Nepali people for employment in Korea.

Park also said that many Korean companies were willing to come to Nepal and to
invest and that Korea will continue necessary cooperation for further
strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Korea.
