IT centre at Kathmandu University

Kavrepalanchowk, Oct 20: An information technology centre has been established at Dhulikhel-based Kathmandu University. 

It is expected that the centre would promote research, innovation and digital stability. The University has also brought mobile app 'KU-Connect' into operation along with IT centre. 

KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Achyut Wagle said a research and ethical framework would be developed to operate 'supercomputing cluster' for complex research, implement National AI Policy, and develop research and ethical framework that uses local data. Even a support system would be developed for the emergency situation like earthquake, pandemic and flood. 

The mobile app developed by the KU would provide student's access to information relating to educational, administrative and campus activities. It has various features like student's profile management, information, news about the KU, result and programme, course list, fee details, payment record, certificate, among others, he added. (RSS)
