Tulsipur High Court resumes judicial services

BY OUR CORRESPONDENT,Nepalgunj, Oct. 13: Judicial services at the High Court Tulsipur, Nepalgunj Bench, which had been suspended due to a special situation following an arson and vandalism during Gen Z protest, have officially resumed from Sunday.

Registrar Sapana Adhikari of the High Court Tulsipur, Nepalgunj Bench, had issued a notice last Thursday stating that, according to the decision made in the full meeting held on October 9, the regular operations of the court would resume from October 12 by expanding the services that were partially suspended.

According to Registrar Adhikari, the court resumed services such as extension of time limits, issuance and endorsement of arrest warrants, registration of new charge sheets and related custody hearings, prohibition orders and registration of all types of writs, registration and hearings of applications under Section 157 of the Civil Procedure Code 2017, registration and hearings of applications under Section 73 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2017, petitions against registrar orders, distribution of certified copies of judgments, withdrawal of ongoing cases, and hearings related to settlements.

She further stated that services such as the registration of appeals and new cases, and matters related to the deadlines, time limits, and dates of cases and writ petitions under consideration until September 9, will be resumed after the Tihar holidays, following necessary discussions and coordination with stakeholders.

Advocate Bishwajit Tiwari stated that, with the resumption of many services from Sunday, the court's operations had moved forward, bringing significant relief to the general public.
