Kathmandu, Oct 10: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, has said government was committed to holding election by fulfilling the genuine demands of Gen-Z people.
Minister Kharel said it after an all-party meeting with the Cabinet members including the Prime Minister on Friday. The meeting was held at the initiative of President Ramchandra Paudel in Shital Niwas.
Also the spokesperson of the government, Minister Kharel informed that the meeting dwelt on election. The President enquired both the government and political parties on the preparation for the election. The Head of the State stressed on holding the election to the House of Representatives on the slated date.
On the occasion, the government assured the President and political parties that adequate security would be ensured and resources managed for holding the election. "There is no doubt that political parties' participation is essential to make the election successful," he added.(RSS)
