Himanchal Raj KC named Mr. Nepal

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 22: Himanchal Raj KC from Lalitpur has won the title of Mr.  Nepal World 2025 amid a grand event held in Kathmandu on Saturday. 

KC said he was delighted to be recognised as Mr. Nepal and added that the title comes with the responsibility of raising Nepal’s name on the international stage.

The competition selected three main winners. Girish Ratna Shakya from Bhadrapur, Jhapa, won the title of Mr. Global Nepal, while Prakash Chauhan from Morang was announced Man of the World.

Both Shakya and Chauhan said that their titles had opened new doors of opportunity and expressed their determination to make the most of this platform internationally. 

Along with the honour of representing Nepal in Mr. World 2025, Mr. Global 2025, and Man of the World, the winners also received prizes worth Rs. 500,000.

The grand event saw 28 young men competing for the titles. 

In the competition, Prakash Chauhan was awarded the titles of Mr. Multimedia and Most Active, while Bijay Syangtang won Most Talented. Laxman Chand Thakuri received Best Physique, and Astin Sherchan was named Most Popular. The title of Best Personality went to Himanchal Raj KC, with Ashish Giri winning Mr. Commercial. Sakriya Ghising Tamang was recognised as Most Intellectual, and Nishchil Manandhar as Mr. Style Icon. Darpan Singh Giri earned Best Sportsman, Sabal Katuwal was honoured as Most Creative, and Girish Ratna Shakya received the title of Gentleman with Propose.

According to Ravi Dhakal, CEO of Next Models Nepal, all contestants underwent extensive training in various fields such as swimming, football, social service, short hiking, catwalk, personality development, and public speaking before reaching the finale. The event was choreographed and mentored by Prashant Tamrakar.

Since 2001, the Mr. Nepal pageant has been organised annually by Next Models Nepal to develop young men’s personalities, boosting their confidence, showcasing talents, and nurturing leadership qualities.
