NC Central Office; 48 district committee offices receive damages during Gen-Z protests

Kathmandu, Sept 21: The Nepali Congress (NC) has said the party Central Office and 48 district committee offices were damaged in the Gen-Z protests taken place on September 8 and 9.     

Issuing a press statement today, the NC said that 95 private houses of its leaders including party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, vice-president, general secretary, assistant general secretary, central committee members, province presidents and other leaders were burnt, vandalized and looted.     

According to Chief of Publicity Department, Min Bishwakarma, the protestors set the NC central office on fire and no property was saved adding that property equal to almost Rs 100 million was damaged.     

Likewise, the NC has also expressed condolences to all who lost their lives in the protests and wished for speedy recovery of those injured. The party demanded that the perpetrators be booked after a fair investigation of the incident.(RSS)
