By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 29: Nepali singer Ram Krishna Dhakal has officially launched the production of his upcoming film Malati Mangale.
A script and camera worship ceremony was held at the Mahadevsthan Temple in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, on Thursday.
Dhakal’s guardian, Gopal Karmacharya, gave the first clap of the film.
On this occasion, actor Bijay Baral and actress Barsha Raut performed the first scene, formally beginning the film’s shooting.
Renowned singer and now a producer, Dhakal stated that he would produce a quality film and promised to present an emotional story connected to Nepali society.
Similarly, actors Bijay Baral, Barsha Raut, and Mexam Gaudel shared their belief that Malati Mangale would become a milestone in their acting careers.
Artistes Subarna Thapa, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Sushma Niraula, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Shaku Shah, Suchitra Upreti, Dinesh Shahi, Rijan Pariyar, Tara Sharma, Gita Shree, Raj Pangeni, Sushmita Gurung, and Sagar Bhattarai, among others, will also be featured in the film.
The film will be directed by Praku Pandey, who has also written the story, while the screenplay and dialogues are penned by Guragai. The film is said to be a family-oriented love story.
According to executive producer Sagar Gyawali, the major shooting will take place in the scenic landscapes of Tanahun and Syangja districts.
Shooting is scheduled to begin on Saturday.
Rabin Shrestha, Babu Subedi, Manoj Bajgain, and Ishwar Bajgain are the co-producers of the film.
