Around 60% paddy seedlings transplanted in Mahottari

Mahottari, Aug 8: With enough rainfall in the recent days, Mahottari district recorded impressive progress in paddy seedlings transplantation recently.

As of the first week of August, the district recorded around 60 per cent of the total target in paddy seedlings transplantation.     

The paddy seedlings transplantation was done in just 30 per cent of the total target in the last week of July.     

The Agriculture Knowledge Centre in Mahottari shared that 57 per cent of the paddy seedlings transplantation was done as of Thursday (August 7).     

The paddy farmers achieved progress in the paddy seedlings transplantation after the irrigation supply following sufficient rainfall, said Information Officer of the Office, Abiral Kumar Mahato. "The progress has reached around 60 per cent today," he added.     

Total progress in paddy seedlings transplantation could cross 80 per cent by the second week of August if the existing speed was maintained, the Office estimated.(RSS)
