By Smita Arjeel, Makawanpurgadhi, July 30: Preparations are underway to appoint three Members of Parliament (MPs) as ministers in Bagmati Province.
Lama's chief personal secretary of the Chief Minister of the province, Bahadur Singh Lama, Chhatra Bahadur Lama, said that the Bagmati provincial government is preparing to appoint three lawmakers as ministers.
Lama failed to garner the confidence of the Nepali Congress Bagmati Province parliamentary party leader on Tuesday.
According to him, two MPs from Chitwan and one from Dhading are set to be appointed ministers.
MP Govinda Lamsal (Dhading) and Geeta Gurung (Chitwan), and Maya Shrestha (Chitwan) are set to be appointed ministers.
According to him, Lamsal is set to be given the Ministry of Home Affairs and Law, and Shrestha and Gurung will be given the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, respectively.
They are set to be sworn in as ministers by 11 AM today.
There are vacancies in five ministries held by the Congress in Bagmati.
Earlier, four ministers resigned on July 25 and one on July 2,9 and signed a no-confidence motion against Lama.
