London (UK), July 27: Rajendra Pudasaini has been elected as the President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) UK chapter.
According to the vote count that concluded last night, Pudasaini defeated his two competitors Govinda Kharel and Manish Khatri to be elected the leader of the NRNA is the United Kingdom.
Pudasaini secured 1,482 votes while Kharel won 977 votes and Khatri secured 496 votes. Similarly, Ujjwal Karki, Dr Raksha Thapa and Ram Prasad Kandel were elected as the Vice-Presidents, Diwakar Pandey as the General Secretary, DN Kharal and Krishna Devkota the Secretary (open category).
Bishnu Kharel and Chhabilal Aryal were elected the members and Rammaya Bista Thapa won the England State Council President post.
Following the victory, newly elected President Pudasaini said that his first step would be to unite all the Nepalis living in the UK. (RSS)
