Senior citizens' representatives call on President Paudel

Kathmandu, July 24: A delegation from the National Senior Citizens' Federation (NASCIF) has met with President Ramchandra Paudel at Sheetal Niwas, Kathmandu today. On the occasion, the delegates shared their various concerns to the President.     

They raised issues before the President Paudel to ensure representation of senior citizens in the National Assembly, improve the modality of distribution of senior citizens' allowances, arrange for providing allowances based on economic classification, grant citizenship to stateless senior citizens, and promote the concept of joint families.     

President Paudel mentioned that he would draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the problems of senior citizens and would positively initiate efforts to solve the problems.(RSS)
