Kathamdnu, July 22: A delegation led by the Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Chen Xiaodong, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, the bilateral relations between the two countries, the four bilateral understandings signed at the Ministry of Finance on Monday, and the implementation of development cooperation agreements signed during high-level visits between the two countries in the past, were discussed.
Prime Minister Oli, while discussing the long-standing friendship and friendly relations between Nepal and China, reiterated Nepal's commitment to the One-China policy.
PM Oli expressed gratitude to China for the priority it has given in constructing the necessary infrastructure at the Rasuwagadhi border post, which was destroyed due to the recent flash floods, and said that the Nepali side has also provided the necessary preparedness.
He emphasized the need to move forward without hindrance in the operation of other border connectivity with China, including Kimathanka and the operation of projects under the 'Belt and Road Initiative Framework' to transform Nepal from landlocked to land-connected.
