Kathmandu, July 18: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed commitment to take initiatives to resolve problems of Hetauda cement industry.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by representatives of joint trade union at the CPN (Maoist Centre) Headquarters, Parisdanda, today, Chair Prachanda said he would make possible efforts to resolve the problems of the industry.
He recalled that he at the time when he was leading the government had discussed time and again to revive sick industries, expressing commitment to take necessary initiatives in the capacity of leader of the opposition party to resolve the problems seen in Hetauda cement industry and demands of trade union.
Sharing that the CPN (Maoist Centre) has been enquiring and taking initiatives for the restructuring and reform of government industries and factories, Chair Prachanda assured that he would always be with the activities to be carried out in favour of the working class people and country.
The memo demands to take initiatives to stop activities carried out against consumers' welfare, to resolve problems of the industry as there is negligence in operation of industry as well as demands of the employees are ignored.
Leaders of trade union including CPN (Maoist Centre)'s central committee member and Makawanpur District In-charge Bijay Gautam, were in the delegation. (RSS)
