One killed using sharp weapon in Ilam

 By Kokila Dhakal, Ilam, July 17: A person was murdered in Suryodaya Municipality-1 of Ilam on Wednesday night. 

According to the District Police Office, Ilam, Prakash Chapagain, aged 21, of Jogmai, Maijogmai Rural Municipality-2 of Ilam district

Prakash, along with his 32-year-old brother Niroj Chapagain, was visiting Niroj's in-laws' house, where Prakash had a scuffle with Kiran Sherpa, aged 33, of Sirise, Suryodaya-1.

It is reported that Prakash was attacked with a sharp weapon during a fight that occurred at Kazi Tamang's house, resulting in his death on the spot.

Police said that Niroj, who was seriously injured in the stomach by a sharp weapon, has been sent to Fikkal for treatment.

The Police Office stated that Sherpa was arrested by the police after the incident and that further investigation into the incident is underway.
