By Suresh Dhami, Bajhang, July 16: Thalara Rural Municipality in Bajhang has instructed to to prevent employees working on contract services to mark daily attendance.
Issuing a public notice on Tuesday, the rural municipality has urged all ward offices and health institutions to do so.
According to the decision of the rural municipality meeting held on July 14, it has been stated that the renewal process of the contract service will not be carried forward based on the provisions of the recently implemented 'Far West Province Local Service Formation and Operation Act, 2081'.
According to a notice issued by the Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Prayagraj Padhya, there will be no service period renewal process at the ward office and health institutions for contract workers.
Instructions have been given to the concerned ward offices and health institutions to prevent contract employees from marking attendance.
With this decision by the rural municipality, employees working on contract services have received a signal that they need to prepare for alternative arrangements.
In addition, it is said that the goal is to make service delivery effective by mobilizing skilled manpower through permanent positions at the local level.
