Bill relating to alternative development finance mobilization endorsed

Kathmandu, July 15: The meeting today of the House of Representatives has approved the Bill relating to Alternative Development Finance Mobilization, 2081 BS.     

The bill tabled before the lower house by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was unanimously approved by the meeting.     

Deputy Prime Minister Paudel expressed confidence that the bill would accelerate the pace of development, attract foreign investment and motivate capital mobilization.     

Similarly, a discussion was held on the proposal tabled by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal seeking consideration on the Ship (Operation and Management) Bill, 2081 BS that was originated in the National Assembly’.     

The bill however could not be passed today due to a lack of quorum in the House.     

The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for July 23.(RSS)
