Koshedhunga to be screened in 40 countries in August

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 26: Preparations are underway to screen Koshedhunga in over 40 countries, including Nepal, simultaneously on August 28. 

Directed by Saroj Poudel, whose all-time blockbuster Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi left lasting impression last year, Koshedhunga will be screened in the USA, Australia, Japan, the UK, Canada, and in many other countries.

The film is being internationally distributed by Seven Seas International. 

According to the production team, this marks the first time a Nepali film will be released simultaneously in such a large number of countries.

Ramesh Dhakal, director of Seven Seas International, said that Koshedhunga is making history as the first Nepali film to achieve such a wide international release, particularly within the Nepali diaspora.

The film was shot in Adhikhola, Triveni, and Sirubari in Syangja district, as well as Kathmandu.

A few weeks ago, the film’s first-look poster was released, featuring actress Surakshya Panta draped in a shawl and portraying a rural woman, set against a village backdrop.

In addition to Panta, the cast includes Aryan Sigdel, Reecha Sharma, Manjil Kumar, Niti Shah, Prabin Khatiwada, Hiwala Gautam, Saroj Khanal, Bishal Pahadi, Dinesh Kafle, and Lokmani Sapkota.

The film is produced by Prebil Kandel and Kishor Anurag, with Dinesh Khadka serving as the executive producer.

 Babu Shrestha is the cinematographer while Nahakul Khadka is the editor of the film.
