Rasuwa, June 25: Local administration here has urged the people living on the banks of rivers and streams to be alert over heavy rainfall occurring in the Chinese territory, Tibet, and its subsequent impact on the lower regions towards Nepal.
The District Administration Office Rasuwa requested the concerned people living on the banks of the Bhotekoshi River and other rivers to adopt precautionary measures for life and property, because heavy rainfall was occurring in the northern region including Keyrong in the Chinese territory.
Chief District Officer, Arjun Paudel, reminded that the Chinese authority in Tibet had requested to remain alert owing to heavy rainfall in the areas around Keyrong, and Lhende River flowing into Nepal, which would witness increase in the water level.
Meanwhile, meteorologists have forecasted heavy rainfall in the nearby areas including the mountainous district, Rasuwa, and the local administration has urged people, living in the area near rivers and streams to adopt measures to avoid risks.(RSS)
