Anjila celebrates 100th day of screening

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, June 21: Anjila, which was released on March 13, has completed its 100th day of continuous screening in the cinema theatres.

 On Friday, the 100th day, it was still being shown at seven cinema halls including  City Square Mall in Samakhusi under the QFX Cinema Chain in Kathmandu, Kirtipur Cineplex in Kathmandu, Elite Cinema Hall in Itahari, Pathibhara Cine Plaza in Birtamod, Mango Janjyoti Cinema in Parsa Bazar in  Chitwan, and Central Multiplex in Biratnagar.

Director Milan Chams expressed his gratitude to all the viewers and said he hopes for continued support from the audience. 

Anjila has already ranked among the top five commercially successful films of the year 2081BS. According to the producer, the film has grossed over Rs. 120 million so far.

The film is based on the life story of Angila Tumbapo Subba, the captain of Nepal’s national women’s football team. 

In the film, Angila herself plays the lead role, supported by actors Dayahang Rai, Sirjana Subba, Bijay Baral, Maotse Gurung and Prem Kumar Shrestha, among others.
