By Our Correspondent,Hetauda, jun,1 : While only one and a half months are left to end the current fiscal year, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has spent less than 50 per cent of the total allocated budget.
As of May 26 of the fiscal year 2024/25, only Rs. 1.41 billion has been spent towards the total estimated expenditure. It is only 49.69 per cent of the total budget allocation.
The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City unveiled a budget of Rs. 2.72 billion for the current fiscal year.
Spokesperson of the Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City Sabin Neupane said the total income from grants received from the federal government, grants received from the provincial government, and internal sources amounted to Rs. 1.96 billion.
This is 61.01 per cent of the total estimated income of the current fiscal year.
He said that although some of the projects for the current fiscal year have reached the final stage, payments are still pending, so financial progress is not visible at present, but progress as per the target will be achieved by end of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, the 65th executive meeting of the municipal executive has decided to provide recommendations along with opinions and suggestions as it sought opinions and suggestions in the preparation of the environmental impact assessment report and implementation of the proposal for the 100-km road upgrade work of Pathlaiya-Hetauda-Narayangadh under the East-West Highway.
Spokesperson Neupane said that the meeting decided to approve the Internal Control System Directive, 2082, Fair, Festival, Exhibition Operation and Management Procedure, 2082, Employment Dialogue Forum Operation and Management Procedure, 2082, and Consolidated Fund Internal Audit Procedure, 2082 of the Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City.
