Foreign Minister Rana leaves for Japan

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 20: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has left for Japan to participate in the International Conference on Social Isolation in Senior Citizens, which starts from tomorrow.

Minister Dr Rana is scheduled to address the seminar on behalf of Nepal.

Ministers, high-ranking government officials, and senior social activists from more than 12 countries in the conference, organized by the Foundation for the Welfare and Education of the Asian People (FWEAP).

Minister Rana, who has long been active in the economic empowerment and social protection of Nepali women through organizations like the Rural Women Development Center (RWDC) and the Safe Motherhood Network, has been invited as a special speaker at the event. 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated that she is scheduled to hold important bilateral meetings while in Japan.

She will return home next Saturday.
