Maoist Centre's goal is to uplift living standards of poor people, says Prachanda

Kathmandu, May 10: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that his party was visiting the people at the grassroots level with the goal of improving the living standards of the poor people.     

Addressing a mass meeting organized by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Panchthar District Coordination Committee in Phidim today, Prachanda mentioned that the recently held Tarai-Madhes Awakening Campaign of the Maoist Centre had become a campaign of the people there adding that such a move of the party was an opportunity to get familiar with the people's issues.   

 

On the occasion, the Maoist Centre's Chairman said that the development of the nation's major infrastructures relating to connectivity including the Mid-Hill Highway, Postal Highway and north-south corridors across the country were initiated during the tenure of the Maoist-led governments.     

As shared by Prachanda's personal secretariat, the former PM reflected on the efforts made for social justice, good governance and economic reforms during his third term as prime minister. (RSS)
