By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 10: Nepal Women defeated Bahrain Women by 9 wickets in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier match at Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.
Batting first, Bahrain scored 41 runs in the stipulated 5 overs, losing one wicket. The match was reduced to 5 overs due to rain and a wet outfield.
Bahrain's Deepika Rasangika scored 34 runs, whereas Tharanga Gajanayake and Zayneb Fazli scored 3 and 2 runs respectively. Nepali bowler Puja Mahato took a single wicket.
In response, Nepal achieved the target of 42 runs, remaining 4 balls in hand, losing one wicket in 4.2 overs.
Nepal's Kabita Kunwar scored 18 runs, Samjhana Khadka scored 13 runs, and Indu Barma scored 7 runs.
