Kathmandu, May 3: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that his party has moved ahead by strengthening public relations with a determination to become the largest party in the upcoming general elections.
Addressing the First Bagmati Province Convention of the Tamang Rastriya Mukti Morcha in Kathmandu on Saturday, the former Prime Minister said, "We have worked with a plan to stand tall as the single largest party in 2084 elections. As per the plan, we have established close ties with the people through different activities including awakening campaign. Along with this, we have worked by institutionalizing the achievements of democracy."
Likewise, Prachanda stated that a new revolution was needed in the country for good governance.
Inaugurating the Fourth Municipal Conference of the party's Dakshinkali Municipality, Chairman Prachanda said that his party has raised voices for the cause of social justice and against economic backwardness since the party's establishment.
On the occasion, he talked about the party's recently concluded Tarai-Madhes Public Awakening Campaign carried out along the Postal Highway from Jhapa in east and Kanchanpur in the far-west. (RSS)
