Sub-committee submits report on Pokhara International Airport

Kathmandu, April 28: The subcommittee formed by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to study alleged irregularities during the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has submitted its report to the Committee.     

Subcommittee coordinator Rajendra Prasad Lingden submitted the report to the Public Accounts Committee coordinator Hrishikesh Pokharel at a handover ceremony held at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor this afternoon, said committee secretary and spokesperson (joint secretary) of the Parliament Secretariat Eakram Giri.     

Receiving the report, committee chair Pokharel said that the full report would be discussed in the committee's upcoming meeting.     

The PAC had formed the subcommittee about a year ago under the leadership of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman and MP Lingden to investigate alleged irregularities at the Airport, the third international airport of the country.     

The subcommittee has submitted its 38-page report along with its findings and recommendations for actions to be taken, said subcommittee coordinator Lingden.     

MPs Janardan Sharma, Gokul Prasad Baskota, Aman Lal Modi, Arjun Narsingh KC, Prem Bahadur Ale, Ram Krishna Yadav, Tara Lama, Dev Prasad Timilsena, Deepak Giri, and Rukmani Rana were members of the subcommittee. (RSS)
