By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr 27: Elated by the way cinema secured international awards and appreciation in different competitions and have been selected for many, Rishiraj Acharya, producer and director of the Nepali movie Draupadi is preparing to submit the movie for more international film festivals.
Draupadi portrays general life in Karnali, a remote region in Nepal,
with special focus on natural beauty, and polygamy found in some places.
Draupadi got honourable mention award in Hello International Film
Festival that was held in Russia on April 18. The movie also received special
film award in Nepal-Africa International Film Festival. It has been selected in Papa
Historical International Film Festival, Hungary, Paradise Film Festival,
Germany, Los Angles Star International Film Festival, USA, according to Draupadi's
director Acharya.
The film recently bagged the best director award and director Acharya
received it at the Fourth Rural Cinema Festival held in Dhunche of Gosaikunda
Rural Municipality by Celebrity Nepal.
