'No chance of monarchy revival'

Dhanusha, April 11: Spokesperson of the Nepali Congress, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, has said there was no chance of revival of monarchy in Nepal.     

Talking to media persons at Janakpurdham on Friday, Spokesperson Dr Mahat, however, said various programmes could be held to exert pressure on the parties for the correction in the governance and public delivery.     

The present system is achieved after a huge struggle and sacrifice, he reminded, making it clear that efforts to subvert this system would not be accepted at all. Leader Mahat further said it is baseless campaigning of some elements including RPP to restore the constitutional monarchy, which, he argued, is impossible in the country.     

The concept of postal highway was introduced early in 2015BS to give a lifeline to the Tarai/Madhes, he reminded.     

According to him, the present NC-UML coalition government was working for the people and country.(RSS)
