Lumbini, April 11: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said an amendment to the Constitution, the promotion of good governance and making the economy vibrant are the top priorities of the incumbent government.
Minister Gurung, who also serves as the Spokesperson for the government, said that the Constitution will be amended in a way that will secure a wider acceptability from the civic level.
Talking to media persons at Bhairahawa-based Gautam Buddha International Airport today, the Minister said a task force comprising representatives from the two largest ruling partners: the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) is exploring amendable issues of the Constitution.
According to the Minister, the Constitution will be amended in a broader consensus of political parties.
The Government Spokesperson further added that the government is making preparations for regularizing the operation of Gautam Buddha International Airport. "The 10-point action plan was endorsed to ensure the regular operation of the regional international airport and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation is effortful to implement it," he said.
