Kathmandu, April 7: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakashman Singh recalled former Prime Minister of India Chandrashekhar's crucial role in consolidating the Nepal-India relations.
At an interaction organized by the Ganeshman Singh Foundation on Nepal-India relations, Singh, also the Nepali Congress (NC) leader, lauded the role of Chandrashekhar to that end.
"There was very warm and close relationship between Chandrashekhar and Ganeshman. Their roles as leaders in the political change were laudable", he added.
Chandrashekhar's role in making the 2046 BS People's Movement a success was worth-remembering, he noted.
Also speaking on the occasion, NC leader Dr Prakashsharan Mahat also remembered the role of Chandrashekhar in making the People's Movement, 2046 BS a grand success.
"He had lent support to Nepal when he took the premiership of India. His relation with BP Koirala was also cordial", Dr Mahat recalled, adding leader Chandrashekhar's speech at the progrmme held at Ganeshman Singh's home in Chaksibari was quite influential.(RSS)
