President, Vice President extend Eid-ul-Fitr best wishes

Kathmandu, March 31: President Ramchandra Paudel has wished that may the great festival of the Muslim community, Eid-ul-Fitr, inspire people to promote the idea of broader national unity.

President Paudel extended best wishes for the happiness, peace and prosperity of all Nepali Muslims at home and abroad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today.

"I wish that this festival inspires all Nepalis to promote mutual understanding, durable peace and fraternity as well as the idea of greater national unity,” the Head-of-State said in his message of best wishes.

President Paudel expressed the belief that this festival would help in preserving, promoting and developing the original culture and tradition of the Muslim community."Unity in social and cultural diversity has strengthened and consolidated the Nepali nationalism,” reads the President's message. 

Similarly, in his message of best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has said that all the religions have negated all forms of discrimination and forbidden negative passion.


Extending best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity and good health to the Nepali Muslim sisters and brothers at home and abroad, he said humanity is the basic religion of the people and it needs to be protected.

Stating that religion has contributed to the promotion of equality, freedom, fraternity, justice, etc., Vice President Yadav has made it clear that it would help in the spiritual transformation of human beings and making them civilized and cultured.

He wished that 'Eid-ul-Fitr' could provide further inspiration to build a civilized, peaceful and prosperous society by strengthening and promoting the spirit of national unity and cultural solidarity.

The Vice President believes that this festival will inspire everyone to further strengthen and consolidate the federal democratic republic, social justice, independence, national unity, integrity and nationalism. (RSS)
