Paha Charhe festival concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 31: Paha Charhe festival was celebrated by worshipping three Ajimas on Sunday. 

The three-day festival started on Friday after worshipping of Luku Mahadyah, a hidden form of the Hindu God Mahadev. 

On the he last day of Paha Charhe on Sunday, the palanquins of the three Ajimas, which are worshipped as the mother goddesses, were brought together at Ason at the heart of the old city via specially designated routes. The chariots were hit each other in a ritual known as the 'Dya Lwakegu'. This is supposed to represent the three goddesses, who are sisters, meeting each other once a year. 

The palanquins of three Ajimas-- Kanga Ajima, Wachu Ajima and Lumadi Ajima were brought at Ason for meeting each other.
