By Nisha Rai, Dharan, Mar. 18: A 17-feet high sculpture of the Buddha carved out from a single stone has been stalled at Triratna Bihar in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-3.
Monk Ananda of the monastery
said that making of the sculpture started two years ago following a contract
with Kathmandu-based sculptor Kaji Lama for an 18-feet high Buddha sculpture
with pedestal. However, the pedestal was not made due to various reasons.
Triratna monastery was established about a decade ago at the bordering slope area of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City 3 and 14.
