NC treasurer Shrestha bereaved of mother
Kathmandu, March 15: Nepali Congress (NC) treasurer and former Minister of State for Health and Population, Umesh Shrestha, has been bereaved of his mother Leela Devi Shrestha. She passed away in the course of treatment at Kathmandu-based Grande International Hospital on Friday. She was 89.
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his sorrow over the demise of the senior Shrestha. According to the party source, her last rites will be conducted at the Pashupati Aryaghat this afternoon.
In a message of condolence today, the NC President has extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, wishing for eternal peace to the departed soul. (RSS)
