Two injured in tiger attack in Saptari

By Sudha Dev,Bharadah, Mar. 3: Two persons sustained injuries in an attack of a Bengal tiger that appeared early Monday morning in Saptari’s Saptakoshi Municipality-1.

Local journalist Khagendra Karki reported that the injured individuals were identified as Ganesh Khatri and Krishna Bista.

 Bista has been taken to Biratnagar for treatment while Khatri is receiving care at a local clinic.

At around 6:30 am, residents of Saptakoshi in Saptari were left in shock when a tiger was suddenly spotted inside the compound of a house near the gate of the Fattepur market stadium.

It remained unclear from where the tiger came. Local Ramanand Chaudhary said that the animal caused panic in the area.

Regarding the situation, Saptari’s Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal informed that a team from the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has been deployed to capture the tiger. Latter in the afternoon, the tiger was trapped in a house
