Kathmandu, Feb 28: The Sardar Rudraraj Sahitya Sewa Samiti has decided to confer on Gargi Sharma with this year's Rudraraj Prize.
Samiti's Chairman Badri Raj Pande
told the RSS that litterateur Gargi Sharma will be given away the prize
recognizing her outstanding contributions to Nepali language and literature.
The prize carries a purse of Rs 50,000 and a letter of appreciation.
The prize will be given on March 10
on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of litterateur Rudraraj Pande. Late
Rudraraj Pande has contributed significantly to Nepali literary, social and
education sectors. His non-fiction Rupmati is a widely-read literary piece
among Nepali readers. (RSS)
