Laxmi Upreti honoured

By Our Correspondent,Biratnagar, Feb. 24: Laxmi Upreti Byaktitwa Barsha Puraskar Pratishthan, Biratnagar, honoured writer Radha Bhattarai amid a programme held in Biratnagar on Sunday.

Bhattarai was awarded in the field of literature. 

The author of six different literary works, Upreti received a cash prize of Rs. 10,100 along with the award. 

At the event, writer Pratima Niroula shed light on Bhattarai’s life and literary contributions.

Presenting the award, the chief guest of the programme, academician Kaviraj Neupane, said that although literature is not a priority for the government, various community-level foundations have been working to preserve and promote it.
