Palpa, Feb 22: A ‘My School, My Responsibility’ campaign has been launched to improve the quality of community schools in Lumbini province.
The first phase of the campaign was
launched simultaneously in 17 schools in all the 12 districts of the province,
including Palpa, under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Development of
Lumbini Province from Friday.
Health Minister Khem Bahadur Saru
has launched the campaign in Palpa from the Janata Secondary School in Tansen.
Saru is a former student of the school.
On the occasion, Minister Saru expressed the
belief that the campaign would play an important role in making former students,
people's representatives, and parents realize their responsibility to improve
the quality of education in community schools.
‘The main objective of the campaign is to generate interest in community schools and a sense of responsibility,’ he said, ‘I believe that if the alumni want there can be many improvements in the schools.’
He also said that the time has come
to focus on doing away with negative narrative and instilling hope and trust in
the people by doing better works for them. (RSS)
