Kathmandu, Feb 22: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has said his party was for launching the exercise of socialism from the local level. For it to happen, the party will reach its real base, he added.
Chairman Prachanda said it during an orientation organized by the party's central office on the 'foundation for socialism at the local level'. All local levels led by the Maoist Centre should launch the economic and cultural practices that follow socialism.
He shared that the party had decided to practically enforce the ideological debate on socialism from the very local level. Chairman Dahal further argued that the local governments led by his party had done excellently to forward socialism.
He underlined, "It is not time to replicate others, but nurture and promote native practices and developments."
The Chairman admitted that his party's link to its base was weakened in recent times owing to the cooperation and alliances made beyond party spirit and line. The real class of the party needs restoration, he argued. (RSS)
