Kathmandu, Feb.18: Speaker of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal has drawn the attention of the government to the issue of the death of Prakriti Lamsal from the meeting of the National Assembly held on Tuesday.
During the emergency in the assembly, the MPs raised the issue of the tragic death of a Nepali student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Following Speaker Dahal drew the attention of the government as well.
President Dahal said, "I would like to draw the attention of the government to investigate the truth about this matter, identify the real situation and take serious diplomatic initiatives at the earliest to provide justice to the late Prakriti Lamsal."
He also urged the government to create a conducive environment where Nepali students studying in the college can study with confidence in a safe environment.
