Pre-judge audition of Acting Star concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 13: The pre-judge audition for the acting reality show Acting Star has been completed. 

Over 1,000 participants had submitted their videos for the digital audition to participate in Acting Star.

 Out of them, 222 contestants were selected for the pre-judge audition.

 According to the organiser, Mahak Media Network, the audition was conducted, providing all participants with an opportunity to showcase their acting skills on Monday. 

The audition saw participants from various regions of Nepal, including the Himalayas, hills, and the Tarai, as well as from Sikkim, Darjeeling, West Bengal and Mumbai in India and Dubai, informed the organiser.  

The participants included both newcomers passionate about acting and those who have already spent years in the field of acting.  The names of the contestants who will move on to the next round will be announced in a few days, along with the details of the physical audition, informed the organiser.

Veteran actor Nir Shah, artistes Anup Baral and Reecha Sharma will be the judges of the reality show.

 The show aims to provide a platform for showcasing acting talent and will be directed by Bishal Bhandari. 

The reality show will be broadcast on AP1 TV. The digital rights for Acting Star have been acquired by OSR Digital. The winner of Acting Star will receive a cash prize along with an opportunity to work in a feature film.
