Press Chautari RSS gets new leadership

Kathmandu, Feb 10: A new executive committee has been elected in the Press Chautari's Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) chapter.     

The 5th convention of the journalists' association close to the CPN (UML) held in the RSS's central office today elected Kumar Abhinav as its Chairperson.     

Likewise, Kumbha Raj Rai has been elected Vice-Chairperson of the Committee while Kamala Poudel has been picked as Secretary, Sita Aryal Under-Secretary and Muna Devi Bhandari as Treasurer.     

Furthermore, Sumitra Adhikari, Sita Bhattarai, Om Prakash Bohra and Sushma Basnet have been members of the new committee. The chapter chose Madhu Shahi and Sharad Sharma as central representatives.     

Likewise, Avilasha Poudel, Tilak Bhusal and Sharmila Pathak have been selected as the province representatives for the chapter.     

Inaugurating the convention, Chautari's Central Committee Vice-Chairperson Rajesh Rai reaffirmed the organization's commitment towards protecting and promoting press freedom.     

He suggested the organization's RSS chapter to always work in the interest of working journalists.     

Likewise, Press Chautari Nepal Pratisthan Province's In-Charge Mohan Bastola and Press Chautari RSS's chapter former Chairperson Prakash Silwal spoke about the organization's continuous initiatives to secure welfare of the working journalists.     

The Press Chautari RSS chapter was established in 2067 BS.(RSS)
