Bagmati, Jan 17: Bagmati Province
Government's budget spending stands at16 per cent in the six months of the
current fiscal year 2024/25.
According to Suraj Adhikari, Information Minister at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning of the Bagmati Province, the provincial government has spent only 16.27 per cent of its total budget as of mid-January.
The annual budget of the provincial
government for the current fiscal year is around Rs 64.5 billion, out of which
only Rs 10.5 billion was spent in the past six months, informed Adhikari,
adding that the capital expenditure remained low this year.
Of the allocated budget, the Office
of the Chief Attorney General spent highest budget at 41.56 per cent followed
by the Province Assembly Secretariat at 28.36 per cent during this period while
Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Industry and Cooperative recorded the lowest
spending at 4.6 per cent, said the Ministry. (RSS)
