Two dead in Banke road accident

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Jan.15: Two people on a motorcycle died when a bus and a motorcycle collided in Banke.

According to the District Traffic Police Office Banke, a bus (Bhe 1Kha 3774) heading from Narainapur to  Nepalgunj and a motorcycle (Bhe 6 Pa) 8836 coming from Phattepur to Nepalgunj collided at Sarra of Phattepur of Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality of Banke District on Tuesday around 7 PM.

According to the Acting Head of Traffic Police Office Banke, Nand Prasad Pokharel, Dil Bahadur Tharu, 27 years old from Sarra of Phattepur of Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality-7, sustained serious injuries after the motorcycle collided with the bus while 23-year-old Rajesh Tharu of the same place, riding behind the same motorcycle, died in course of the treatment at Nepalgunj. 

The bus driver has absconded while the bus have been seized by the police that hit.

Stating that accidents have increased due to high speed, District Traffic Police Office Banke has urged all to drive with caution keeping in mind about the weather and speed.
