Collective efforts necessary for quality education: Deputy Prime Minister Singh

Kathmandu, July 9: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has said that collective efforts from teachers, students, parents, and the community are essential for quality education.     

While addressing the 35th anniversary celebration, honor programme, and Kathmandu district convention of the Nepal Public Campus Union, he mentioned that without collective efforts the spirit of quality education would remain mere slogans. He further shared that the efforts made by the community campuses to enhance education in the country was really praiseworthy.     

 Addressing the same event, Amar Bahadur Thapa, the chairman of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives, said that it is necessary to provide quality education in order to make students ethical and responsible citizens.     

Similarly, Nepali Congress Education Department Head Nainsingh Mahar, UML Education Department Head Parvati Rawal, among others, highlighted the significant contribution of public campuses in Nepal's higher education sector.     

Outstanding students from the campus were honored in the programme.     

Union President Shatrughan Prasad Gupta emphasized the need for clarity regarding the policy related to higher education in the country.(RSS)
